Creating a PSTORAGE#1 Media Contract

Important: After creating your PSTORAGE#1 Media Contract, your contract will automatically receive 100 PStorage#1 tokens for free.

About PStorage#1 Media

When you create your PSTORAGE#1 Media Contract data storage, 100 PStorage#1 tokens are automatically delivered with your PSTORAGE#1 Media Contract.

You need PStorage#1 tokens to be authorized to store data. If you withdraw the tokens from the contract for use in another contract (you can transfer only twice between contract but not to your wallet), you will no longer be able to store additional data.

However, your PSTORAGE#1 Media Contract does not need PStorage#1 token to read data — reading is always allowed.

Note: Your storage contract includes 100 PStorage#1 tokens, which provide one month of data access renewal and allow you to upload up to five (5) image or video files. To upload more files, simply add more tokens to add more months—each month gives you five additional uploads (number of months × 5). These tokens keep your access active for uploading and storing data on the blockchain.

You can easily send the required tokens directly to your storage smart contract from MetaMask—no website or frontend is needed.

If you sell your PSTORAGE#1 Media Contract by transferring ownership to another buyer, you can choose to withdraw the tokens beforehand. The new owner will not be able to add more data, but will still be able to get existing token through peer-to-peer sharing and send it to the contract.
